How to play football bingo
Make football bingo cards with friends. A practical guide to match events, simple rules and scoring for a paper-based game.
What is football bingo?
Football bingo is a match-watching game: mark events such as goals, corners, yellow cards, substitutions or shots hitting the post on a card.
Make the cards
Each player draws a 3 × 3 grid on paper. Agree on nine events and put them in a different order on each card. Possible squares include a goal, corner, yellow card, offside, substitution, save, foul, shot hitting the post and added time.
Decide the winner
Mark a square when its event happens. The first player to complete a row, column or diagonal wins. Agree in advance on repeated events and how to resolve disputed calls. Simultaneous wins can count as a draw.
Combine it with a team draw
Before a console match, use Kim Kime to pick two teams and track your paper bingo cards while playing. This page is a rules guide, not an automatic event tracker or digital bingo board.
